Bosworth Independent School has a long tradition of supporting students to obtain places at top UK universities. Our 2024 A Level cohort continue this proud tradition by achieving places at the University of St Andrews, University College London (UCL), and Durham University. These prestigious universities are currently ranked number one, number six and number seven in the UK, according to The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
STEM subjects are extremely popular with Bosworth students with many hoping to pursue Medicine, Engineering or related undergraduate degrees. Our students have a history of achieving strong A Level results in STEM subjects, supporting by experienced and highly qualified Science and Mathematics departments.
This year, four students have achieved places to study Medicine. They have worked extremely hard to achieve excellent examinations results, and demonstrated their passion and commitment to medicine through research projects, volunteering and other activities.
Other students are progressing to study Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology.
Our 2024 A Level results demonstrate the strong academic progress and attainment of our hard-working students. This year, 85% of grades were awarded A* – C.
Students have achieved particularly strong results in STEM. This year, 72% of Chemistry grades were A* – B, 83% of Sociology grades were A* – B, 73% of Mathematics grades were A* – B and 100% of History grades were A*- C.

Rita Maria will study Medicine at the University of St Andrews, which is the current number one UK university (according to the The Time and Sunday Times Good University Guide). She achieved three A*s in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
Rita Maria completed her studies at Bosworth in 2023, and progresses to the University of St Andrews in September 2024. Bosworth supported her with her university applications.
